I've noticed that a lot of mainstream books, ie. "A New Earth," and "The Lost Symbol," are leaning towards devinity in oneself and away from main religions. The books puts Jesus on the same level as Budha and the like.

In the "Lost Symbol," it's suggested that God is within us and people have forgotten that we are devine and gods. My question is how can a whole planet full of people forget that they're gods? It's nuts and not possible.

I believe that people don't use their full potentials. God can give a person any powers or abilities he wishes him/her to have, but that doesn't make that person a god.

That being said, the books are interesting. "The Lost Symbol," by Dan Brown is filled with a lot of fascinating facts and worth reading as long as it's not taken too seriously.

I'm still reading "A New Earth," by Eckhart Tolle. So far I agree with some of his ideas and other ideas I discard as pop psychology or pure fiction.
