Inner Realm
By Ginger Hinson
Show me your body's kingdom
All your hidden chambers;
Secret passageways to explore
Guide me to your treasure room
Where golden moments await
Guarded against time's thieves
Let me be that burglar who
Opens your inner safe, sees
Your valuables, pockets the prize
Then you will feel life's truth
Unlocked with sureness, revealing
Unhindered vulnerability, the You

The Devil's Card
The Devil's Card
By Ginger Hinson
Gossip is a demon
Created by Satan himself
When the devil reads
Shall not bear false witness,
He laughs, laughs, and laughs
He jumps in glee
When church members gossip
That's the coup deemed worthy
Of the dark endless smile lurking
Upon Lucifer's devious lips
Sin's many faces
Are frightful to glance upon,
Yet, none so exquisitely pleasing
Than seeing a faithful stumble.
Fall, Fall, Fall is his rally cheer
Gossip's daggers pierce
The victim's soul cracks, breaks
Assumptions can be deadly
Lies told can make one forsaken
God as people judge, condemn
Oh, when the congregation
Brings its own to their knees
A great cry rises from Hell
Glory be, Glory be, Glory be
They mockingly shout to Heaven
Next time your church
Stabs, murders with cruelty words
Remember Satan is watching
Laughing in your face as you
Step one inch closer to his fire

Castle of Lies
Castle of Lies
By Ginger Hinson
A prisoner in my pearlescent castle
Constructed from beautiful lies
To pacify my color coded life
Leading to creativity's decay
Existence ordered, numbered
Towards spirit's chiseling death
Greatness unachievable as I
Stumble through created fables
Self fibs mate, combine, multiply
The norm achieved, convention binds,
Dictates my views, my actions
Where's my passion? My soul tolls
Does my being notice, wonder
Against time's stealing promises
Of unhurried stance for many
Tomorrows will come? Lying lies.
I shall clasp today's willing hand,
Pull it with tenacity, Guide myself
Beyond illusions, wipe, slap away
Deceptions, Fill my living with candor

Life
Life Unknown
By Ginger Hinson
Trepidation Collide with me
I can miss a feeling, a place
My soul graspingly beholds
An illusionary fleeting kiss for
A life unknown, needed, unknown
Whose phantom touch caress
Molecularly resonates, cutting
My core restraints, my shackles
Loosened by dream's euphoria

My core restraints, my shackles
Loosened by dream's euphoria
Awash with exotic lands painted
Promises, untraveled mountains,
Beaches to soothe the unquenchable.
Diverse people unmet call to me
Enticingly pleading, imploring,
Demanding encounter's raw quest
Screaming...Be Engaged, Be Present
Abandon comfort, Abandon complacency
To the shadows of an unexplored life

Inferno
Naked Inferno
By Ginger Hinson
Lured into my lair
Never to return
The magic of my essence
Perfumes the tense atmosphere
Headily Hypnotizing eager prey.
He quivers as fragrant aromas seep
From tactile pores invading his
Senses with yearning's inferno.
Desire's intoxication confounds,
Thoughts muddled, restraint disperses
To floatation's realm of illogic
The spell casts escape's null options
The captive's soul willingly disappears
Never to be seen again, never to be seen

Rise
Rise
Bombardment crushes
The mortal core.
Unleash life's burden,
Banish death's tentacles
That wraps, squeezes
Dreams with python strength.
Dig your fingers
Into decay's abyss
Choke the fear, kill
Expectations serpent
With unyielding fortitude
Resist and Rise

Silent Scrream
The following is for anyone going through difficult times.
Fight On

The silent screams
Are the worse
They must not hear
They must not know
Be strong, Be brave
No tears to show

Our Flag
No Between
By Ginger Hinson
Our Flag hears
The sighs of the time
Exasperation caused from
Misunderstanding, Speaking,
But not hearing pulsates
Through our country
Our flag cries
Our hearts harden before
A word is uttered . Afraid of
Empathy for the other side
Instead of united, we imagine
Villains slicing daggers at freedom
Our flag weeps
Opposite opinions become a
Sword, a scary scenario to be
Avoided. Must shut down, must
Not hear or try to understand.
Compromise is not an option
Our flag mourns
The atmosphere permeates
With either or, there is
No between, no solution.
If we rip the barriers,
Bear the pain, what then?
Our flag hopes
Could the murky veil lift?
Would we see neither side
Is fully right or have stone
Hearts? What joyful strides
If logic prevailed; hatred lost

The Cut
Many of my poems come from what goes on in society and are not from personal experience. The following can have two meanings. The poem can reflect the emotional process a person caught in a lie experiences. It can also be about someone who practices physical cutting as a form of release.
Cutting Image
By Ginger Hinson
Reality breaks
Shattering my frame.
Shards puncture, rips
The skin off resistance
Forcing the false self
To bleed secrets.
Pressure released,
Healing begins

Stories
Writing
By Ginger Hinson
Inspiration spirals from
A dimension beyond
My mind's capacity
Engulfing with textures,
Sensations, enlightenment
Speaking unknown truths
To awaken my inner being
The words alight
Onto thought's parchment
As though heaven opened
To reveal a glimpse of awe
Bodily atoms radiate butterflies
They flutter, excitement builds
Stories emerge, bliss exhales

The Fall
Eve
By Ginger Hinson
Mesmerized by
The serpent's lies
Promises of life, power.
Striking beyond temptation
The need seeped, poured
Into her core, yearning ignited
No choice, Just one bite,
One little nibble of sin
To open the universe.
Her teeth sunk into knowledge,
The thrill lasting a moment
Then death knew her name
The realization too much,
Burden's heavy toll pulled
With hands of steel towards
Eclipse, a darkness pressed
Upon her, she had to share.
Share the agony, desperation
Regret consumed, tormented
She handed her love the fruit
Whispering sweet deceit to entice.
Doubt abated by desire's thrall
He trusted, consuming the forbidden
Forever plunging him into despair

A Star's Last Moment
Supernova
By Ginger Hinson
Stark, intense, exquisite
The darkness beckons
Opening unknown universes
For lingering exploration
Tentative, slowly, expectantly
The breath intakes
Starbursts bathes one's essence
Besought, sureness collapses

And the world keeps
Going, flowing, growing
You love who you love
Being who you see
Inside you, In your depth
You always know

Bullying
The following poem is about the internal impact of bullying.
Erosion
By Ginger Hinson
Word flames scorch.
The serpentine tongue
Painfully licking vulnerability.
The ego's wall thickens
Barrier's perimeter extends
To contain the internal
Seepage as it dissolves,
Eroding esteem from within
A forcefield permeates,
Covering, hiding truths,
Fending off fire's bite,
Separating from the onslaught

Reputation
Recently, I've seen many people in the media lose their reputations. I imagined what it would feel like and wrote the following poem.
Tangled
By Ginger Hinson
The dis-repair of my psych
My reputation shatters
Misguided by society's expectations
Leading to destruction's chaos
Receptors distorted by noise
That's forever babbling
With frothy nonsensical chatter.
Tangled morals become remorse

Another poem
The following is a poem about politics and people not getting along.
Politics
By Ginger Hinson
Pervert station, Sinister ideas
Of the universe converge
Infiltrating the soul and
Feeding the iniquities of
The World's perceptions
Dark matter inside seeps into
Forbidden places, recesses
Too deep... Light can't penetrate
Foreshadowing the future
Impacting the cosmic flow
Should a spark ignite
Would it, could it be enough
To cast away the dank suspicions
That intertwine in society?
Can humanities flame erupt,
Combust into a fire of change
Purging the black ice from
Our hearts? A steel of
Understanding to build a bridge
Erasing hatred and despair.

Poems
Disconnect
By Ginger Hinson
Electronic succubus,
Thief of time
Filling the emptiness
With False connections
That leaves a void,
A black hole to
Cipher the soul,
The self, into oblivion.
Internal
By Ginger Hinson
Classified thoughts
Too secret to reveal
Churn within the complex
Known as imagination

The Breakup
The Breakup
By Ginger Hinson
Falling memories
Through the misty sighs
The dark night speaks,
Resonates with secrets.
Shivers dance
Cascading over the body
The essence of thought
Reverberates, flows, awakens
Senses heightened
Identities fleetingly unite
Then separateness overtakes.
The bond fades, numbness remains.
